Wednesday 12th November 2008
A Festive Fair is taking place in church, on Wednesday 12th November between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Come along and do your Christmas shopping early!

Wednesday 5th November 2008
There will be a Bonfire Night Party at the vicarage at 6.30pm. Tickets £3.00 available on the door, to include a light supper.

Friday 24th October 2008
Cheese and Wine Evening, with talk; 7.30pm
Cheese and Wine Evening, with a talk by Muriel Higgs:
My Life with Railways. Tickets £5.00, all proceeds to church funds.

Thursday 11th - Sunday 14th September 2008
Heritage Open Days
This year St Paul’s is again taking part in Heritage Open Days, a national initiative to open up places of historic interest to the public. The Open Days run from Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th September. Guides will be on hand to show people around the church and a series of talks is scheduled.

Fundraising Event: Cream Tea
This will be at the home of Brenda Howell, at 3.00pm.
Tickets (£4.00) are available from church. All proceeds will go to church funds and there will also be a bottle tombola.

Pastures New
Congratulations to The Rev’d Malcolm Jones, our curate, who has left to take up the post of Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of St. Richard, Heathfield, East Sussex (Diocese of Chichester) at the beginining of October. We wish both Malcolm and Frances all the very best for the future in their new parish and for their move south.

Vicarage Garden Party
This takes place from 2.00pm - 10.00pm.
Admission: Adults £5.00, Children £3.00 (payable on the day) to include a barbeque and soft drinks. There will also be stalls and a raffle.

Jewellery Quarter Arts & Designer Craft Festival
St. Paul's Churchyard will be hosting the above Arts Festival from 10.30am - 4.00pm, with over 20 stalls in the churchyard selling designer arts and crafts. Digby Fairweather (a jazz musician) and his band will play sessions from 12.30pm. There will also be live 'sculpture' and art events throughout the day. Light refreshments will be available in St. Paul's Church.

National Twelve-Bell Striking Contest
Congratulations to the Birmingham St Martin's Guild of Church Bell Ringers, regular ringers at St Paul's, on winning this year's final held at Lincoln Cathedral, their 16th win in the contest.
